I like colourful things. I like shiny things. I like these things because
they keep my attention. I get distracted easily, you know?
Imagine my delight when I saw these ads for Mercedes. They are bright and
colourful and they keep my attention. They don't particularly tell me much
about the car but, hey, it's a Merc. Everyone knows about them. And that's how
advertising is now. Sell a feeling, not a product. Once you've
nailed the feeling, you've won half the battle. Apparently.
I've heard that these ads, particularly the first one, may have been plagiarised.
I really don't care. New ideas are very rare. It's just about how you execute
them and I think these have been executed pretty well.
Anywho, here are the ads. I'm bored now.
